Ronnie Betzen graduated in 1989 from Canyon High School in Canyon, Texas. As a child he was always fascinated by computers. The first computer he came into contact with was a Commodore64. This was only a brief encounter of about a day and other than six weeks of "computer literacy" in a pilot program this was the only experience he had with computers during his childhood. This was about 1986. Unfortunately, he didn't come into contact with them again until 1992. He's been happily computing ever since and has been very pleased to migrate to Linux in 1998.
